Hi all, has anyone ever come across this guy. He has what looks like a typical touring bike, with panniers attached. The bike has a white frame, but the strangest thing is that coming up off the handlebars is a ~2 foot length of white drain pipe with a blue siren at the top of the pipe.

He cycles through rafeen village at about 5.30 this evening.

Not seem him, But i've seen the guy that has an airhorn and blasts it at pedestrians on Oliver Plunkett street and the bit between Argos and the blue McDonalds. Caught him honking at a the air coach on the quay because he turned the indicator on. That thing is loud too, he'll make himself deaf with the amount he is using it!

You sure it wasn't one of the cycling Guards? they've plain white hybrids

Yep, seen him about a few times and he's usually wearing an old school white motorbike helmet minus the visor. When it's dark he has the light on the go as well.

Don't know what his story is.....guessing he wants motorists to think he's a Guard for a wide berth!

Looks like he's not the only strange fish! 100% certain it wasnt a garda bicycle, you'd know straight away if you seen him.

Hahah really!! I was tempted to follow him on my own bike just to see what other gear he had on or have a chat to him. Never thought of that actually, its a good idea but its a bit much! Unless he's had a bad enough experience to warrant a flashing blue light of all things... I hope I bump into him again. Curiousity getting the better of me here :)

Ah that's gary, he's always cycling around cork, he does no harm to no one, he does savage mileage tho, he's fit as a fiddle he would leave a lot of people on here for dead on a sprint along tivoli!! Always smiling and will give u a wave. It's not a real blue light (it doesn't illuminate)
