Basic farm Payment Question

    Hi Guys,
I'm hoping someone might be able to answer this.

A son has been given some land by his parents in order to get a herd number to keep some cattle. This is being drawn up as a lease agreement.
No entitlements being transferred. No young farmers scheme involved.
Can he put theses parcels on a BPS blank form with his details and hope to get maybe a disadvantaged area payment on those hectares?
I'm asking on behalf of some good neighbours. Anything is a bonus but I don't think they are too concerned If he gets money or not.

    Any insight would be great.
    Thanks all.
    E

E, that sounds about right, don't forget to include the maps,
As the dept are pushing paperless, I'd advise your neighbour to get an Ag consultant to do it electronically, it may cost a few euro, but least it'll be done right

    Thanks Farrell,

Do you know where one would get a blank BPS form? I searched the Dept. website but cant see any.

    Thanks,
