Suntan lotion handprints & metallic paint

The bonnet & partial spots around the car have kids handprints from a long forgotten hot summer day.

I've tried the various tricks mentioned online (eraser etc) but nothing shifts them. I was thinking of a top of the range valet. Would they be able to get rid if I pointed it out beforehand?

There's also the usual scratches, swirls & hardened tar.

Machine polishing is the only guaranteed way to remove them, permanently. It's possible to hide them with hand polish but they will re-appear after a short period.

Thanks Curran. Would a professional Valet be able to machine polish it?

I'm not quite sure what a machine polish is, some sort of specialist equipment?

Its hard to say - some valet guys would know what they are doing, others wouldnt.
Where abouts are you based and I can try advice on who to get in touch with.

I got them out of my dads car with a DA polisher and cutting paste. However the investment in this gear would make it more economical to get a detailer to do it.

Ian in Elite AutoClean would be the nearest person that I would trust to do it. Based in Ballycoolin, Blanchardstown.
Trevor in Keogh's Car Valeting would be a mobile option to the house or work.

Had a sunscreen hand print on my bonnet. Tried tar remover, fallout remover etc etc. Eventually had to polish it off with a DA

I got them off by hand with a cloth and a couple of grades of cutting compound.
