Smax isofix

    Help!

Op move if more appropriate somewhere else?

Bought a 2010 smax a few weeks ago for the impending arrival of twins. Then bought a double buggy with 2 easyfix bases for the cabriofix car seats.
Fast forward to Sunday gone when I decided to set the car seats up for a trial run. Couldn't fit the isofix bases. The smax has a single solid bar running at the back of the car seat where you would normally find the "hooks" for the isofix.
Is this normal for the smax of that generation? Is there an isofix base that fits this? Or adapters available?
Do I need to change the car or the buggy to use isofix? I know the car seats can be used with seat belts but bugger that for twins and 2 older ones as well!!
    Suggestions?

Far as I know the 2 outer middle row seats should def have isofix and some have a middle isofix point too,

Cheers Colm. I was under the same assumption. The other seats would have been enough for me but I can't find them. I'd like to think they haven't been removed for some reason.

Not the same car I know but my 05 focus is isofix ready but it needs optional adapters to be bolted on.

Two outer seats on S max definitely have isofix my 08 Mondeo has. The points are probably just buried in the seat cushion or under.

Only pic I could find. They may vary according to the spec of the car/seat fabrics used. Lot of newer cars the isofix points are quite visible.

Have a 09 smax, it has isofix, I think you go slightly up on the seat back and then go in. If you still have problem in the eve pm me and I will have a look...

Ours has those anchor points. Any idea how to connect an isofix base with them?

Just to add you can get isofix guides that push on to make it easier clip the seat in one of our child seats came with a pair. Probably really only necessary though if you need to swap the seats between cars regularly.

You don't use the anchor points with isofix.

SORTED!Thanks very much for this. As you suggested, I found them hidden in the upholstery of the back rather than between the back and seat.
    Thanks everyone for the help.
