    Hi ,
I'm working for a small UK company and they now have alot of clients in southern Ireland . They want to position a service van here in Ireland on basically a full time basis but they don't have an office here. How can they go about registering/insuring/taxing their company van here if their only business address is in the uk?
    Thanks for reading.

Where is the van going to be parked overnight?

If it's full time basis they should buy an Irish reg van.
I suppose you, an Irish resident, will be driving said van?

Well the van is kitted out for our business mobile workshop so to speak. No problem registering it taxing it in ireland except the company won't have an Irish address to register tax or insure it. I will be driving it some of the time.

In a hotel car park at various locations mostly or in an airport car park frequently also. In the Republic.

Well you had better square it with the Revenue, otherwise they'll seize it. They may just tell you to register it in the State.

    Lease a van.

    Leaseplan.ie or northgate.ie

Both provide full service including insurance.

In that case - if you are not prepared to have it registered at your address, you could either take VincePP's suggestion or you could rent a Virtual Office from Regus or similar and register it there.
