Replace r15 rims with r14

Original 6Jx15 et43 rims on a skoda roomtser are very rusty after just 8 years - all 5 in fact.. They look bad. I have in the garage 4 nearly new 5Jx14 et35 rims
which I bought once to use as winter rims, but never in the end used.

Am I ok to replace the r15 rims with the r14, getting a tyre diameter with outside size to match etc. They are all five stud and pitch circle matches.

Is this totally a OK idea? Anyone know how to check if this is within a skoda manufacturers spec... or where to find the same.

Yeah,my youll be grand, what tyre size is on it now?
Is it on 15 inch steel wheels now? Are the tyres good on it now?

Expensive change, if you have to buy tyres.

Wire brush; couple of spray cans of black paint; be grand.

Otherwise, refit the hubcaps (or new set).

    Rust is surely superficial.

Make sure they clear the calipers and go for a slightly bigger tyre to keep the same rolling radius but no other reason as to why it can't be done

Thanks, looks like this will be OK then...
Problem for me is that all 5 show some small amount of rust, and they were all treated and rotated equally.

Srtucturally wheels still very fine, but wanted to look asssured as well.

Just wire brush them and paint them with Matt black wheel paint, then stick wheel trims over them.
Wheels go like that, usually only surface rust.
