Right Im looking to get a really good pressure washer for cleaning the cars, price isn't important (within reason, not buying a heated diesel powered one , as much as I would love that) build quality and overall power is, would be interested in one that a compatible snow foam attachment is made for , and a recommendation for said attachment.

Detailing shed can supply you with a Lance and specific adapter for which ever pressure washer you buy.
Think they might be or were on special offer last week I'm sure Curran can give you better advice than I can.

Have a nilfisk power washer myself can't fault it
Have it two years and its used two to three times a week.

I have a Karcher K2 for over 10 years. It came with two different lances and a patio cleaning attachment. Even though it's the entry level model it does a great job. It doesn't produce the pressure of larger washers but for car cleaning that's a good thing. The only thing I would like to change is the length of the hose from the lance to the machine. Though it hasn't bothered me enough to buy a longer one.

    I'd alway recommend Nilfisk!
Never owned a Karcher, but my father did, and neighbors, all of whom had issues...with the domestic Karcher range. Ive had experience of return washers too, used to work in a DIY store.

After some research when buying mine, I plumbed for a Nilfisk, which at the time was getting the most positive feedback from people in detailing circles....but thats going back 7 years.... shows how good the machine is, as its not missed a beat since.

If it were me, I'd go Nilfisk, and fill your boots within the spec / budget you'd hoped to go for! Doubt you'll regret it! ;)

Hard to go wrong with Karcher though. You can get a washer that lasts for reasonable money.

Argos have serious discounts on Power Washers at the minute. I got a "grand" 2kw VAX machine for just over 100 euro. Now its nothing to write home about and feels very underpowered compared to more commercial power washers I have used. But it was well able to blast flies and birdshíte off the car. I'm going to pick up a snow foam lance on detailing shed shortly

The bottom of the range Karchers use plastic pumps where as the equivalent Nilfisk use aluminium.

I appreciate a lot of the replies of decent value and 'alright' washers. Is there any model of power washer anyone has used and basically gone 'fúckin hell thats good' or somebody who works in detailing who could recommend something say a step down from a professional model. I don't mind if its going to be 500-1000 quid (after that its just silly money Im not willing to spend) , just looking for something amazing. A lot of nilfisk recommendations, any model ?

Well my Nilfisk C120 has served me well....obviously something a bit more fancy would be nice, but why pay any more when its up to the job!
Doesnt get the abuse it used to when I was doing cars years ago, but still performing as well as the day I bought it, 7 years on!

Nilfisk's are still highly recommened on Detailing World.

When I did my research it was the machine to have, perhaps the Karcher's have moved on, but Id 100% buy Nilfisk again!!

Kranzles look like the dogs dangly bits! Their build quality is supposed to be top drawer.

    The K7 looks particularly sweet.

Have had K2 series Karcher for about 8 years thats been great servant, bought a K5 series last year as needed more oommf than K2 gives for various jobs and fecker gone back for 2nd time last week for something internal leaking, it's a great machine and works well of the water butts unlike the K2 but it breaking down in hissy fit is a pain.

Second time could be poor workmanship though as it came bit iffy, sure they didnt fix it right first time.

I have to many extra bits though to change to be honest though, if I went other direction I need to find new foam bottles, gutter extensions, drain hoses etc etc
