Using boiler to heat showers in the summer

    Hi,

I just moved into a flat which has a traditional boiler (brass cylinder with tank above it) and an emersion.

The emersion on bath setting does not give us very warm showers. So I was wondering can we use the regular on/off/timed switch for the boiler to heat our shower, without heating the radiators?

I know we can close the valves for all the radiator. However this seems inefficient/awkward.
