Hi all, I am thinking of joining either the Navy or the Army as a recruit. I'm not sure which one I think I would suit. You generally hear of people who would like to join the army but would be put off by the navy and vice versa.

Can you apply for both at the same time?

What would be the major differences in the two in terms of what you actually do day to day or are they similar enough?
    Thanks.

At the risk of sounding like a muppet, ones related to the sea and the other isnt'.

Google for roles and responsibilities of armies vs navies, and then what theIrish Navy do vs the Irish Army
