I need some rear springs for my wifes car which has just failed the NCT on a broken spring (checked a week ago and it was fine :o) and I suppose I should do the shocks while I'm at it.

So I have the choce of FAI or Kilen springs and Optimal, Meye, KYB, Boge and Sachs shocks. How do you choose are some makes known good and others less so? More importantly which are the better ones?

What car is it for, model/year?
    Look up Bilstein
Remember to replace shocks in pairs

I'll take pot luck. Only names in shocks I'd have know would have been Sachs and Boge.

I was avoiding mister auto as I had had some parts take ages to arrive, that was way back but seems from another thread people are still having those problems.
