I'll be leaving from the country for 10 weeks for a holiday I had planned since last year. A lot of the pages go on about maximum of 2 weeks, need permission and so on. I don't intend to cancel my holiday so I'm wondering what the deal is? I heard from a few people it's as simple as calling them, informing them at a reasonable date and just signing off of the payments until I return. Is that the case?

Call into your local office, fill out the holiday form. You should be able to go away and get 2 weeks payment on your return.Ask the staff for guidance.

If you are away for more than a month your claim will be closed and you wont get 2 weeks holiday payment. You can make a repeat claim on your return.
