Buildings over (not in) floodplains

    Not sure if this is the right place for this thread...had posted it in Sustainabilitty & Environmental Issues forum but its dead. Mods if its not OK to have the same topic in 2 forums then can you close the other one?

    I'm looking for examples (if any exist) of buildings constructed in Ireland over floodplains (as in on stilts or similar). I'm aware of the large development in Carrick on Shannon (Woodies / Tescos) that is on stilts, am looking into a pet project and was wondering was this unique in IE?
