Touring bike

    Hi,

    Im looking for a bit of help please with which bike to go for - Im doing 3 weeks touring on the west coast this summer, potentially I may look to touring in Europe later on.
    I will be camping and also my dog is joining me (in a trailer) so I need something pretty strong and as good a gear range as I can get to help up the hills - although I am not too proud to get off and push and the dog can help! Ideally I do not want disc brakes.

    On the current shortlist are;

    Fuji touring bike;
    Doesnt come with mudguards, does come with rear rack and able to fit low front rack.

    Tried one of these out the other day and for the money it looked a good deal BUT I cant then fit a front rack on - is a front rack necessary for a few weeks away..?

    My budget isnt massive and I wanted a little spare to get a decent rack so Im a bit limited, any thoughts on the above two or any other recommendations?
