Crash - does bike need professional inspection?

I was in my first accident over the weekend at a local sportive. I am quite sore with a good few bumps and bruises and a sprained wrist but could have been a lot worse. It was my pretty much my fault as a car abruptly stopped in front of me and I cycled into the back of it at about 20km/h.

The bike is a full carbon Cannondale and wondering if I need to get it inspected before using again. A bike mechanic at the scene checked it out while the doctors were working on me and said it was fine and I did my own visual on the forks and frame today and cannot seen any cracks or damage.

    Any thoughts here?
