Can I Cast RTE from Chromecast

My friend lives in the North, her home is a black spot for RTE. she has an iPad and can see her RTE programs on it. I've an old Chromecast, one of the originals. I was wondering if it is possible to Cast RTE to her television. Her television has not got built in Internet. Is there anything we can do? Kevin

I don't know the answer to your question, but an Apple TV (about €120) would definitely do this.

You can cast RTE player from chrome on a laptop, but not an iPad as far as I know. YouTube works from an iPad alright.
