    Hi
I've been bullied at work for last 10 years
Sometimes I feel suicidal and I'm depressed all the time
I went to a solicitor 3 years ago
I don't know to this day what the outcome will be
We go to high court in Dublin shortly
I've no idea what will happen
I've asked my solicitor all she says is these are tricky cases and depends on what judge make of my psychiatrist reports
Does anyone out there know what the usual outcome is and what is the average payout in these cases

    Hi Enda,

Im sorry to hear about this,

Bullying and harassment cases are very difficult, emotionally and legally.

If I can give you any advise it is to remember that the things that are said in court about you or your experience are not a reflection of you, the company will say things that may upset you or frustrate you, try to ignore it. Think of something to focus on that makes you happy and calm.

In regards to the case, i'm unsure i work in HR so all my cases have been in the Employment Appeals Tribunal I very rarely end up in court.

your solicitor is right, but she will be able to advise you on the other questions you ask, the barrister on the day will be representing you.

Your solicitor will take you though all the steps and stages of the case.

in regards to payout, it varies, in general it is based on your salary.

    I've experience of these cases.
    Without giving legal advice:-
Payout depends on pain an suffering combined with loss of earnings - no one can tell you what the payout is, as it varies depending on the facts of the case. Similarly, no one here can tell you the likely outcome.

B and H cases are risky and complicated, and, if they run, tend to take weeks as there are so many instances to cover. Only your legal advisors can tell you what your particular prospects are.
