I have just had a bid accepted on a house.

I have a small concern regarding a smell of kerosene in the hot press, which is located on the first floor at the back of the house. The boiler is located outside, at the back of the house outside the kitchen.

The only place there is a smell of oil is in the hotpress. There is no smell in any other room, kitchen included.

I have a engineer doing a survey of the house next week and have asked him to take a look. I'm just wondering if this is something anyone else has encountered and should I be worried?
