Buying Combi Gas & Coal BarBQ

Hi there,

I'm looking to buy a BarBQ in Dublin and I'm just wondering if there is any place I can get combi BARBQUE which has both way to use with Coal or Gas? or
Please suggest how would that work if I buy Gas only? Would that be durable and handy instead of using Coal or Coal is better than Gas.

I have Gas connection at home and I'm just wondering if that is possible or easy to get gas pipe lead from existing gas connection to BarBQ in the garden?

For about a billion reasons I wouldn't recommend using natural gas for a BBQ. Use propane bottles like everyone else does.

They do exist - either grills designed for it or replacement jets for propane/butane grills. But between getting an in-spec fitting for outdoors and the RGI tech to install it you're going to be looking at rather a lot of cash; maintenance and safety issues.

All dual units I've seen have seperate grills rather than mixing the gas burners over the coals - I imagine this would actually be impossible due to the risk of jets getting clogged.

Coal vs. gas 'better' arguments usually turn in to fights, so best to be avoided! Everyone has their tastes and needs to make their own mind up.
