Are there issues with UK showers being different pipe sizing than Irish system? I recall something like this when I was going to get one in Argos years back.

    All are 1/2" BSP entry.

They all appear to be mains fed though, not tank fed.

These showers will not pump the water, just heat the pressure coming in.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I have the triton kito. Bought it a year or two ago. No problem installing but I didn't realise at the time that but wasn't pumped. Plumber took a mains feed straight to it and works really well. Whisper quiet without the pump going. Pressure is good in the area so I was lucky. But as the size of pipes etc, it's all standard.

Are the Triton Etana's or Passions good showers? Similar to the T90's?

Electric showers give me the heebee-jeebees. Water & electricity.

Ever see the electric showers in Latin America? Suicide showers: http://johnnyvagabond.com/travel-tips/survive-suicide-shower/

Head to B&Q was there last week selling 2 triton shower models both 8. 5kw for €99 and €79 this was in the tallaght store

Folks, these are not fantastic bargains. Don't go mad pushing buttons to order just because it's a triton. The Lips covered it earlier: these are mains fed showers. Many of you here will have something like a triton T90Z or similar which is gravity fed I.e connected to the large water tank in your attic space. These WILL NOT be a suitable replacement for such a system.

Entry level Mains fed showers are always WAY cheaper than their their pumped counterparts. As has also been said, B&Q have (and always do) have very good deals on MAINS FED units. There's very little difference once you factor in exchange rate, shipping, and warranty returns support hassle.

Thanks OP. I just ordered the Kito to have as a spare. I paid £160 for it two years ago, its showing as £150 now on amazon and got it for £88 +PM. Nice shower if anyone is interested, nice tough Chrome finish... But yes, not tank fed...

There is no warranty from triton ireland on these showers. A friend got into trouble and was told they sell different models here.
    Buyers beware.

10.5kW is a lot of draw. Certain your electricity supply can handle it?

    Add your reply here.
I got the 9.5, same as last time. Didn't want to fry the place

Just ordered the triton passion 9.5kW to DPD PARCEL wizard.

It has the same entry points as my 5 year old screaming T90.

Swap tank for mains and happy days.

Water softener will look after its end so should be maintenance free. ;-)

    Thanks OP.

Yea, had a t90 before we redid the bathroom. Amazing how loud it was, it was mounted on an internal partition wall that made the sound so worse too. The kito is silent in comparison

Ordered one of them Kitos last Sunday on amazon last Sunday and arrived 1st thing this morning, not bad for €126.52.

Will do for replacing my current Triton TSi80 when it eventually gives up the ghost.
Currently on my 2nd one over the last 19 years, and running out of spare parts from the 1st one for whenever problems happen with the current one
