Currently on offer in Argos for €320, just reserved one.

Is this good value, anything I should be aware of?

Good value yes. The reason is that there will be a new more powerful PS4 Neo coming out around October this year priced at €400-€450. Expect more PS4 deals all over the place as news on the Neo becomes official.

I got myself one for that price, 70 off the usual price is pretty good in my opinion. I'm not too interested in PS4 Neo, so I didn't want to wait 6 months for better deals.

Aye, I'm the same. I'm not one for needing the newest most up to date system.

I had my 360 for about 6 years.

In terms of games, I've reserved MGS 5, is it any use?

Any recommendations for must have games?

Ok I'll get it out of the way.

If you like the other MGS games you will enjoy MGS5. It got some new interesting mechanics, it's definitely an evolution of the game. Can get a wee bit repetitive but maybe online helps with that (I haven't tried that yet)

Would also recommend some of the following:
    • Rocket League - simple easy gameplay very addictive "one more game" sort of thing
    • The Witcher 3 - No one I've spoken to with this has been unhappy with it
    • Dust An Elysian Tail - If you like old school 2D side scrollers

Probably loads of other franchises you may enjoy but those are 3 that stood out to me so far

God yes, I've been late to work a couple of mornings purely down to Rocket League keeping me up.

    Here's a few "if's" from me... :)

If you're into story driven adventure games, and you don't mind a bit of horror, Until Dawn is a must-have for PS4 owners.
If you didn't have a PS3 then the Uncharted Collection is another must-have, amazing bang for your buck also.
If you're into sports/soccer games you can't go wrong with PES 2016, the gameplay is second to none; up there with the likes of PES 5/6, FIFA 12/98, and the old ISS games. But if you're more into your licences, commentary and overall presentation, FIFA is probably the way to go.

Edit: Oh and Wolfenstein: New Order (and Old Blood) :)

Is this 1tb PS4 using the new design that came out some months back : matt drive cover, physical buttons and quieter fans.

Thanks. Went into Gamestop today. And what a bunch of morons. They told me the matt finish PS4 was a special edition and not sold any more. All PS4's have the gloss finish.

So the PS4 1tb Ultimate Player in Argos is model 1200 ?

Interestingly an article published last year says the 1TB brought out in Europe is the old model still
