Ford Mondeo 2009 1.8 diesel leak

    Hi

I had a diesel leak in the engine near the injectors. Our mechanic had a look at it and identified the over leak pipe connectors was where the leak was coming from. Replaced the Over leak pipe with a new one and connected back to the injectors using new R-Clips. Problem is the connectors keep popping out. Diesel pissing out everywhere. Anyone got any ideas why the connectors would be popping out? Is there anything that would cause high pressure in the over leak pipe that would be forcing the connectors out? Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If they are fitted properly they wouldnt come out thats why they have clips on them.

    I take it its a 1.8 lynx engine ?

Is he sure the pipes are not broken can you see the little green seal on the end of them ?

Mechanic was back yesterday and pushed connector home. Connector not broke, I can see green o-ring. Pushed them back in this evening myself, good click sound as connecter slides over R-Clip. Clips don't feel particularly tight. Mechanic back again tomorrow to look at it again.

Sounds like you need new leak off pipes.
I would always push the pipe down fully then put the clip in.
