Very interested in this. Probably a toss up between this and the LeEco Le Max 2 for me.

The size of ZUK 2 is better suited for me. Not sure when the shipping starts.

The Z2 Pro looks like an absolutely beast at a great price. Not coming to Europe though apparently.

Sorry for resurrecting an old-ish thread but does the z2 work in Ireland? Is there a certain model that you have to get or some other change you can make?

It would work perfectly fine here. Hard to source though

Seems to be a few listings on ebay. Is there any tell-tale signs of fakes?
The cheapest seems to be going for ~€270

It is down to 199USD on Oppomart (and an extra 20 for EU shipping). Any thoughts on this? It isn't the Pro model so is 4GB / 64GB and doesn't support Band 20 from what I see.

I'm also tempted, great spec for the money but from what I can make out, the biggest issue is SW, very little rom development due to a locked boot loader and a pretty much china only build from ZUK.

Considering how open they were with the Z1 and a fine international rom from Cyanogen it makes me sads...

http://willmyphonework.net/ says it'll work on band 3 so all major vendors except virgin will work. All of those service buyers/budget/sim only providers (48, lycamobile, tesco ect) won't.

Thanks, usually I need to use stock software due to my work security settings.

Will toss a coin as to whether or not to go for this later

I got the Z1 and it's turned out to be a waste of money so far. First issue was that it stopped connecting to GSM networks. Had to send it back to their repair centre in eastern Europe. Cost ~€30 to send since An Post won't ship a phone with a battery in it. They then sent that back to China and it took as long as you'd expect to get it back.

Since then it was working fine until it fell off my lap onto the floor recently (~1 foot drop max). Didn't think anything of it until 5mins later when it said it's out of battery and turned off. Now it boots to 50% batter and then reports 0% about 2mins later. Now I'm stuck between replacing the battery and hoping that fixes the issue, or just cutting my losses and replacing the whole phone. No point in sending it back for repair since it'll cost me so much time and money.

I'm thinking it's all down to sh1tty build quality. In hindsight I'd say my original problem was probably down to the antenna coming loose. At any rate, I won't be buying anything with the Lenovo or Zuk name on it again.

Sounds a dreadful experience. My first zuk had a problem with the mic and people hearing a crackling sound. Sent it back to amazon who immediately sent replacement. This worked fine for few months but fingerprint sensor then failed . Even with these issues I was tempted to get the zuk z2 as amazon issued full refund. In end I ordered a redmi Note 3 and very happy with its performance

I've had mine over a year daily use with no battery issues, very long life. Could be a ROM issue, some roms have terrible battery life.

Just saw this regarding battery replacement:

Theres videos on how to disassemble the phone, you can judge for yourself after looking at them.
