A real step up in class here for the young Donegal man especially after 10 pro fights against journey men and relative cannon fodder!

I think you are correct Pacman, was De La Rosa slated to fight David Lemieux about 8 weeks ago??

He did lemieux was 4.5lbs over weight and the fight was cancelled...

I like Quigley's style but the better guys are going to be alot more durable to the attacks that have worked in the past, here's hoping he puts in a devastating performance!! and the other extra is it is a nice card to be second billing on!

Wow, big step up for sure. DLR is no joke, he beat a faded Angulo which is still noteworthy imo. He's the ideal opponent for Quigley now. Any more soft touches for him would have been detrimental at this stage. Delighted he's after landing a big fight, will this be the first televised fight of the PPV? Be great for him to showcase his skills in front of a big television audience. Quigley is a serious prospect and seems a lovely lad too.

De la rosa does a fair bit of swinging. His punches are wide & hard. A lot was made of his matchup with Lemieux, but that was more because of both their styles.

His win over angulo doesn't mean a whole lot. Angulo has always been a durable punchbag, less durable the last few fights. De la rosa is some form of gatekeeper at best.

Quigley is a good straight line puncher which is all wrong for DeLa Rosa.

A good step up, I expect Quigley to get the job done.

Excellent stuff from Jason Quigley there. 10 good hard rounds in the bag. Showed great variety of punching, with superior speed & timing. Showed a little fatigue in the later rounds but handled it well. De La Rosa was no cannon fodder, will be interesting who Quigley gets next.

I watched the fight, it was good very entertaining. Jasons footwork and movement was sensational. I thought he should of went for it in the 5th whith 2 mins left he had Dela Rosa well shaken up by then. Conditioning will be the next target for him as he did run out in the tailend of 9 and for 2 mins of round 10. He was far superior to Dela Rosa, who lets not forget beat Angulo after Canelo knocked him out..

This was a major step up into top 75 type territory!!

Does any one think that we could see Jason come back to Ireland to fight, in similar way Dunne did. If he did would there be any chance going for European belt in the next year if he did ? Ah is he still long way off that ?

I can't see it for now to be honest. He went to the U.S.A for a good reason & was snapped up by Golden Boy. He seems to be gaining an American following & even more so a Hispanic / Mexican fan base.
I'd say he will probably take on a few more tough fights to develop as a good pro & then probably challenge for some form of NA title. The only way we will see him fight over here is if there are belts + big money on the line. If the a**e falls out of his development in America he will probably rebuild over this side.

De la Rosa was supposed to fight Lemieux. Seeing as Quigley handled him with ease it shows he's making moves in the division. It's important he gets the rounds in and stays patient. There's some very good new blood emerging at 160, which is needed seeing the cream of the crop certainly isn't amazing. Guys like Murata, Khytrov and Magomedov are fantastic prospects.

Very good display from Jason, really good movement and shot selection, he tired but given that's not only a massive step up for him but also his first 10 rounder i'd say a really promising display from Quigley, Be good for him to have another 1 or 2 fights against similar opposition before maybe another step up at the end of the year. If he wants to come home and have a fight Spike O'Sullivan would be a really good choice.
