mate is looking for a seat cushion to put on his old peugeot car seat as the foam is gone soft shall we say

does an inflatable cushion exist that he can simply drop onto what he has or whats the best way of putting a cushion on what he has

another year is all he is keeping the car, however he is sitting on it for 2hrs a day

You could look at getting the foam base out of the passenger side and swapping it over. Or getting the foam base from the pass side of an identical model. Not that difficult. Watch out for things like passenger airbag occupancy sensor if fitted though.

Could just move the passenger seat to the drivers side. Could be done on a load of older cars.

You can buy foam and cut it to suit your own back/arse. An electric kitchen carving knife is the perfect tool and strong glue from the hardware shop. I've done it myself.

I went down the road of buying a 2nd hand seat from another car (different car entirely) and trying to install it in mine. It was doable and I found a chap to do it but the airbags and seatbelt sensor were an issue. There was a second chap who could have sorted that out but it was getting messy so in the end I made my own back-support based on the exact measurements from the car seat that gave my back no trouble.

Don't really know the car. Could be simple enough with a 90s 306.
