    Hello
I was thinking about buying some power tools just to have and do some small projects with. I was looking at a brand called Guild. https://m.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?searchTerms=Guild
I dont know much about them so i was hoping someone might have some opinions or feedback on them.

    Any info appreciated

They're an own-brand as far as I know. Only sold in home base and Argos.
It really depends on what you're going to use it for and the finish/performance you need.

I'd have no hesitation buying cheap corded hammer drills or routers, but on things like circular saws, jigsaws and cordless drills it's worth doing a bit of research and shopping around and getting a more established brand - it has to be said that even the household name brands do crappy entry level stuff too though.

You can be lucky with this stuff sometimes. I think Argos are usually pretty good with returns anyway.

If you're only doing odd jobs about the house they should be plenty good. It's not like you'll be using them day in day out.
Make sure any cordless tools you buy have a Li-ion battery. Lasts longer if only used occasionally.

Always worth checking the UK Argos site for products as there are more chances of a decent amount of reviews. The Guild stuff seems to score pretty well.
