    Hi All,

So my head is absolutely wrecked, I suppose a little background info first up! Met a woman a few weeks ago whom I knew to see, and had fancied for quite a while, we got chatting out one night and at the time I was seeing someone so didn't take it any further. Then a few weeks later after the other situation didn't work out, I asked her out and she said yes. Didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks after so I decided to text with a general 'hope all is good with you' closed type message with a view to organising a date or whatever. Got no reply anyway and after almost a month Im a little worried if I text again I might totally feck things up (if they weren't so already!

Prob my own fault for not organising it straight away.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers!

What way did you ask her out? Was it more wanna go out sometime and she said yes and you didn't suggest anything?

To be honest, her not replying to your text isn't great! I'd be thinking to just leave it. However if you feel anything might come from trying again, you could always send another more open text.

Edit: Sorry, just saw that you didn't set anything up straight away. Next time you ask someone out, try and lock it down within a day or two! She might have thought you weren't really interested when she heard nothing further.

Yep. She didn't reply to your text which is very rude. I wouldn't give someone that rude the satisfaction of texting her again.

You asked her out. Then didn't contact her for a couple of weeks. If you asked her out it was up to you to get in touch to organise something. You then sent a "hope all is good with you" text, with a view to organising a date or whatever.

She's not a mind reader. She expected you to get in touch sooner. You didn't. When you eventually did, weeks later you sent a "closed type message" and never mentioned the fact you had asked her out. I'd say she thinks you're a bit of a chancer and keeping your options open! Maybe she thought when she hadn't heard from you that you'd gotten a better offer somewhere else? Maybe whilst waiting for you to organise the date you asked her on she got a better offer??!

For future.. if you ask someone out, it's up to you to follow it up, for the first date anyway.

OP, If I were that girl I'd have written you off long ago.

You can't ask someone out, and then not follow up. It best its bad manners, and at worst it makes you look like a game player.

Then sending a random text with not clear objective (she cant read minds), that would put you even more firmly into the game player category in my mind. Id think you were trying to keep your options open while not actually committing to anything. She was right to ignore your text.

Now, it seems that this is actually more ineptitude than any of the above, but she can only pick up on the signals you've put out there, which are not good.

Learn from this, and next time you ask a woman out, make definite plans within 24 hours, or don't ask at all.
