Passed through there this morning and there were loads of film crew with signs saying filming in progress setup past the petrol station at the end of the village. Some of the Dunnes car park had been taken over too, for crew parking.

There was also filming going on at the roundwood village and roundwood garda station a few days earlier. Same production perhaps?

Two people from Eastenders are filming a spin off - they are staying in the Royal Marine in Dun Laoghaire.

Alfie Moon and Kat Slater? Not sure if they are the actor names or character names - saw an article somewhere about it.

I wonder where "Redwater, a fictional Irish harbour village" is going to be?

Greystones used to be the go-to "sleepy/quaint harbour village" location until they built the huge concrete marina. You can still see the old greystones harbour filling in for a 1960's east coat yorkshire village in the George Gently TV series from a few years back (and lots of other wicklow locations in the same series).
