Food tastes Salty - Dehydration?

Just to say I'm not looking for medical advice just personal experience - we've all dehydrated or 'bonked after cycling etc.

I had to spit some food out earlier it tasted so blooming salty, wasn't sure if the ingredients had been changed or what. Had done some more cycling the last few days than recent along with other stuff. Anyway, went online and it said dehydration might be a factor. Apart from tiredness, I couldn't tell if I was or not. So I took out the scales and found I had lost a fair bit very quickly.

Does this sound familiar? Not bothered about the weight loss but would like to eat some nice food.
