    That's way too young - bloody cancer:mad:

I always liked her, thought she was very genuine and funny.

Very sad news, had no idea she was ill. Her Victoria Wood As Seen on TV series was great.

(2016 really has been a terrible year for talented people dying too soon or young)

For some reason I'm more sad than I'd expected to hear this news. She wasn't someone who was on TV all the time and not very high profile for me but anytime she was it was quality. She was very talented and funny. About a year and a half ago I watched a drama she'd written about a kid in a choir. It was really compeling viewing. She always seemed genuine, funny and nice in any interviews I've seen. Such a pity really.

One of my all time favourite comedians. She was only 62!

    RIP Bren.

That is sad news, Victoria was a very sharp, funny performer and writer.

As seen on TV and Acorn Antiques were very witty and funny, as were most productions she was involved in.

I thought she was very good in the BBC Morecambe and Wise film a few years ago.

Gone way too soon, there should have been a few more chapters in her performing and writing career. RIP.

This is so sad, we've lost so many talented people in the last four months :(

I loved Victoria in Housewife, 49, it's well worth a watch.

    RIP Victoria.

Cancer needs to be beaten - albeit not on the bottom with a Woman's Weekly.

    :(:(:(:(:(

Years and years ago I remember seeing her in a programme/documentary which she filmed in the States; she went to visit a woman who wanted to lose weight and hired a Barbie/Ken duo on a red convertible to do a 'fridge/ kitchen cabinets makeover' for her. One of the things I remember the most is that the Plastic Duo threw out a stick of butter and replaced it with margarine 'cause 'it says 'diet' on the label' - Victoria's expression was absolutely priceless. Does anyone remember what that programme was called, by any chance? I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

I haven't seen it, but I'd guess it's Victoria Wood's Big Fat Documentary. Sounds like it would be worth a watch :)
