Glas- Wild Bird Cover

    Hi,

i have to sow wild bird cover on my farm through the glas scheme.

The land is quite rough and rushes are high off the ground, it is only one hectare though and i have everything else in place to get the grant .

Should i hire a digger to scrape away the rough top or should i spray it and hope that it kills off the rough parts of it?

i have to sow it by 31st of may so i have 6 weeks all in all but a neighbour feels i have left it too late. (My mother is in control of it all and only notified me about it yesterday)

i was also wondering what cost it is to do it all ie. ploughing/seeding.

    thanks
