    Hi folks,

I work for a UK based company and have a share cert after purchasing many shares through an option sharesave scheme a few years ago.

I now need to realize the money to assist with a deposit for a house.

What's the best way to transaction / sell the shares and get money to my bank account?

I dont want to sign up to a share dealing account and wish to avoid any maintence fees - I just want to conduct a one off sale and get the proceeds of the same as soon as I can. (no rush, but can't take too long!)

I had a quick look about selling via Computershare, but reviews seemed negative.

    Any info is most welcome.

Do you still work for the company? Certain companies only allow their employees to sell their shares at certain times to prevent insider trading. You should check this first

I sold through computershare before online. It is pretty hassle free. The website is like something from 1998 though. It is functional, but not the most user friendly. Computershare will probably be the cheapest for a once off share
