    Hey Guys,

I'm looking to make a magnetic fly screen for a bedroom window.

    Here's a link to what I need - magneticinsectscreen.blogspot

I went to B&Q in Airside yesterday and not one of the staff could help me find the parts I need.

    4 PVC Strips
    4 Magnetic Strips
    4 Magnetic Strips with Adhesive
    4 PVC Corners

Any idea where I could get the bits I need??

Also, have I used the correct terminology?

    Thanks guys :)

Maybe you could make the frame from PVC electrical mini-trunking. This usually has an adhesive backing. I think you can get corners and Tee pieces to fit.

Yeah that would defo work. Then I'd need some rubber inserts to hold the mesh in the mini-trunking. Any idea what the correct name is for the rubber inserts? Thanks for your help :)

There's a U-shaped part and a bit that clips onto the top. If your mesh was light enough, say like a butterly net, I reckon the trunking lid would still clip down over it.

Genius!! Absolute genius!! Thanks so much :)

Instead of getting magnetic strips, I think I'll go with velcro

I actually have one of these that I never used - got it from a Betterware catalogue. Free to collect if you want it.
