How and why do some posters get four Stars?

    Just curious how some posters who have been on here for ten years (or more) still have three stars to their name, while some newbies suddenly have a four star**** rating against their Username!

    Not that I'm jealous or anything, just curious :)

    Like how does the star rating work on boards.ie?

    If you have feck all to do every day and post manure to get 10,000 posts you get the four stars.

    I have five stars :D

    As far as I remember the stars go as follows:

    1 star - 0-100 posts
    2 stars - 101-999 posts
    3 stars 1,000-9,999 posts
    4 stars - 10,000+ posts

    4 red stars - subscriber

    4 white stars - moderator
    5 white stars - category moderator

    5 yellow stars - admin

    5 blue stars - Boards employee

    I also seem to remember there being 4 yellow stars for an Adverts mod or something.
