Hi guys. I am looking for some options to this one. My wife's top front tooth broke this evening just below the gum line. There was little pressure on the tooth at the time and seems to be rotten on the part that is left in the gum. 8 years ago she had a root canal on the same tooth so has no feeling in the area. Also there was no discoloration or soreness in the area. She has a dentist appointment in the morning. What are her options going forward? If anyone could help that would be great.
    Thanks,
    Paul.

Really its impossible to say. What will matter is the ammount of her tooth that is left stuck in the jawbone.

If there is enough sometimes a post and core and a crown is possible to fix it. Sometimes the tooth needs removing and then your into replacement options which are a denture, a bridge or an implant. Only her dentist will be able to tell which options are suitable for her. Not to worry everything is fixable.

If broken below the gum line, then it is likely unfixable, unfortunately...
If root canal treated, there won't be immediate pain so take a day or two to consider your options... The biggest determining factor in whether she can get an implant or a good looking implant is the amount of bone left after the extraction so the person who would place the implant is best placed to remove the tooth....
