Anyone know a shop that does nice ties for women? Suitable for a workplace, I mean, not the toy versions in accessories shops.

Is there a difference between men's and women's ties??? Genuine question.

Well, I have tried just wearing a man's tie but I just looked like a woman wearing her boyfriend's tie! But I guess I could be more specific - I'm looking for a tie that is shorter and narrower than the average ones that I find in men's clothes shops. Plain or discreet patterns.

I'd try a specialist shirtmaker/tailor, they'd be more likely to have a range of lengths and widths. Thomas Pink, Henry Jermyn, Louis Copeland, etc.

Maybe look into kids sized ties? I've not seen women's ties anywhere I have gone. I do know there are some male ties that are narrower.
