UPS and Parcel Motel Nightmare

    Okay so I ordered an item on Amazon to be sent to my Parcel Wizard and I see from UPS tracking it has arrived and been signed for on friday.

    So I say to myself okay it will be processed over the weekend and will get it on monday but I email parcel wizard on friday to make sure they actually got it.

    I get a reponse from Parcel Wizard saying we didnt get it and that person does not work here !!!

    I contact the idiots in UPS and then they inform me it was actually delivered to the Parcel motel not the Parcel wizard and basically F off as were not interested.

    I then contact Parcel motel in Belfast and explain everything and I get a lovely lady and she took a description and tracking etc and said would call back.

    I also called Parcel motel in Dublin and they informed me anything without a PMID is sent back to Belfast.

    PM in Belfast come back said they did a search and cant find anything.
    PM in Dublin come back and also said they cant find anything !!!

    PM in Belfast then say it could be "lost in transit"

    UPS in newtownabbey say it has not been handed back to them.

    So where do I stand when UPS delivered it to the wrong address, Parcel motel F***ked up and I have no parcel.

    I can get a refund from amazon but this was a present so that is ruined and how can they get a parcel lost if it is in one container to the next.

    Neither PM or PW are to blame UPS is but they don't seem to care.

    You should contact Amazon, it's the company you paid for the delivery and who should contact UPS to correct the issue, specially after you already contacted UPS but they are not helping to get a resolution.

    I assume you already give PM your PMID if you have 1 in case the parcel is found so they can deliver to you.

    I have talked to Amazon and a refund is coming back to me but it was a present which cant be got here and is now out of stock with amazon.

    To give PM their due they have been very helpful both North and south and yes I gave them my PMID.

    Apparently also they get a few PW parcels delivered to them and it is always UPS...

    Tis a pain in the behind

    Its probably sitting in an intake pile at PM Antrim. Given enough time I suspect they'll find it as a matter of process.

    I've found UPS in the south to be one of the more consistent couriers, surprised they're pulling amateur hour things like this.

    I recently ordered an Amazon Media Player that was "Lost in transit" when it went through Parcel Motel.

    Low and behold i get an email a few days later saying "Thanks for registering the device"

    Some bastard obviously plugged it in and it was preloaded with my account details.

    Amazon refunded me straight away and they say they bricked the device but im not sure if they could.

    Amazon can blacklist fire and kindle devices if they are lost, stolen or they have sent the customer a replacement. So they def can :)

    Why do so many people use this line when a parcel goes missing.

    There's no way amazon or parcemotel or ups can know its "a present" and that things will be "ruined", so that simly does not come into it and if you try to use that as a way of gettign someone to try harder, it has the total opposite effect and they simply roll their eyes.

    Parcel go missing - millions are sent everyday and the odd few just go missing. That's life.

    Amazon have made a refund.

    Your life will not be ruined because a present didn't come on time - if the recipient did have an issue, then you will have learnt that they are dreadfully shallow.

    Because it is still a present ruined no matter who is to blame. I don't think they said Amazon or any of the other companies should try harder as it's a present.
