Looking for some help here, long story short, i was dismissed in work last week, i only ever recieved a verbal warning in Nov, second written warning in Feb and dismissed in April, the second written warning was for me getting a lack of instruction in doing a job(basically setup to make a mistake on something i have never done), i personally think this is extreme and i have appealed all with no good outcome i have not doing anything seriously wrong in work, the odd mistake here and there like anybody who has never been given proper training, i was employed for just over 2 years.i also have witnesses of management raising their voice at me (cursing in front of customers) and approching me in the warehouse and trying to get a reaction out of me thinking nobody was around but a work collegue clearly witnessed it
Anybody been through anything similar and the likely outcome?
    Thanks

If you've disputed the company warnings and they have been upheld, you could seek legal advice as to whether or not you can take any action?

Agree with Stheno. Take legal advice.

The good news is that as you were employed for more than a year, you should, as far as I know, be covered by Unfair Dismissals legislation. Here is a page about it on Citizens' Information. http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employment/unemployment_and_redundancy/dismissal/unfair_dismissal.html

Yes I have, my advice is move on. When a potential employer Googles your name and sees that you took an action against a previous employer your screwed. Just move on

Not necessarily so, I took legal action against a former employer for personal injury, I remained in that employment for a further 6 years, and have had two long-term employments since

I know it's not the same as dismissal proceedings, but legal action is legal action

You don't sound like a very good employee.
If they want to hang you, it sounds like you have given them more than enough rope.
My advice would be to move on, learn from your mistakes in your previous job and be all you can be in the job set you are in.

Most reputable companies would prefer not to have media exposure and settle these cases outside of court.

That is true, but the HR back-channels broadcast very loudly indeed.

Personal injury is a different kettle of fish, accidents happen and often the only way to get the company insurance to pay out is to take a case.

Likely outcome from the limited information provided would be:
    • If they followed their procedures, then you no grounds.
    • If they did not follow process, after a long time you may get a small payment.

If I was you I would move on, ask them if they would allow you to hand in your notice, instead of getting fired, to protect your CV a little. Damage Limitation.

The last thing i want on my CV is a dismissal of course, but i have clear evidence of them saying i am not following procedures and not reporting but i have the emails to prove it, i also have emails showing them contradicting themselves and showing the clear lack of instruction they gave me which lead to me getting the second written warning for a "serious breach of procedure" but i clearly followed the instructions given to me and it was in fact them who made the mistake, they dealt with it very amatuerly and even when they dismissed me they done that wrong, this compnay has already lost an unfair dismissal case and currently has another case going on too!!
