Skylight in dormer bungalow

I have been reading through some of the documentation in relation to domestic planning but cannot find an answer. Perhaps someone here can help.

I am thinking of fitting a a 3 x 2 ft skylight on the front of my dormer bungalow.
It would be on the sloped part of the roof above the stairs. It is to let light into a dark landing.

The front garden is quite large and there are no buildings in the field on the opposite side of the road.

I have tried to contact the local planning office but no one is answering the phone. There is no rush on this, more of a future project

    +1

There is no (specific) exemption in the planning acts/legislation for the installation of roof windows, however, it is generally accepted that the installation of roof windows to the rear of a house is exempt (certainly in Dublin local authority areas).
