buddy looking to buy van for a couple of grand for his work as carpenter.
reasonably reliable and cheap.!! bigger than carvan but smaller than transit.

was thinking of Fiat scudo, Peugeot partner or citroen dispatch ??. have they all got the same engine ranges ?

It's near impossible to get a decent van for a couple of grand as most are ragged.
If I was your buddy I'd stretch his budget a bit for this
Rarer than rare 1 owner with low milage and FSH and a nice bit of tax to boot.
They do like to rust though

I think you are thinking right with them, they are decent enough to drive for what they are, 3 seats in front too so quite handy.

No clue on the engines, back in the late 90s they were all the same 1.9 alright iirc.

I'm sure the partner is the thing like a Berlingo though, not Scudo like, utter sh1t imo, engine aside.

Fair enough, we've had three of them around here well abused daily, never gave any hassle apart from couple of clutch slave cylinders

A VW Caddy or a Mercedes Vito. Have heard the Vito is expensive to run do. Caddys are a great van

    Peace and long life.
