DC/Marvel Graphic Novel Collection

    I've gotten into comics in the last year or two and noticed these bi weekly collections. Are they any different/better than purchasing the same ones from Amazon or your local bookstore?

    Some are collections of older/out of print/never before collected stories and are defo worth it. Others are readily available in shops and cheaper that way (eg "JLA" was sold in 2 separate parts, winding up more expensive that if you'd bought it outright). For me, subbing to the collections wouldn't make much sense as I have a lot of the titles already but I pick up some of them from time to time from my LCS.

    Cool Thank Ypu Nervous Wreck. I was looking at the current Spiderman title Birth of Venom which seems to be a lot dearer instore. I think as you say pick and choose which ones to purchase may be the best way to do it
