    I have a problem with my car I'm looking to solve. Basically anytime I take my foot off the accelerator the car starts to jolt and make a loud rattling noise. It started as I was was going on the motorway but was able to guide her home by going really slow but even at the end of my drive I think it was very close to giving up. Any ideas?

    Any warning lights on the dash? Is there a certain rpm that the car will not go above or that the noise begins to occur at? What car is it, and what engine?

    Nothing on the dash but have to take it very easy driving it...60kph. It's a Corolla, 1.4. Makes a very loud clunking noise when I leave it idle, but when I put my foot down on the accelerator it can only do about 60.
