    Putting together the new bike and there were various bits and bobs in a parts bag that had no label or instructions to say what they were for. Figured out most of them but haven't a clue what these are.

    Anyone any ideas? came with a Canyon

    Looks like a flux capacitor to me.

    Those flux capacitors are getting smaller and smaller by the year!

    That is the 'backup plate' that goes between the frame and the support bolt of the front derailleur, which helps with shifting. On my Canyon the front derailleur hanger already has an extra bit of metal that the bolt touches off, so it might not be necessary with you as well. Look up the dealer manual by searching 'fd 6800 dm', should be the first result, and there's a full explanation in there.

    Thanks for that. Guessing they are only needed if I change the cranks to a small or bigger sprocket.
