€12.50 shipping is a huge amount surely?

    And also, 1GB ram? Christ.

There's no way 1GB of RAM is enough for a MS OS.

Has anyone read reports of people putting a different OS on this, maybe Cyanogen or similar? I didn't find details yet on ibood of manufacturer or the hardware in the tablet (not that I'd really know what to do with said hardware list to find a possible Android distro).

I bought a windows tablet last year and it's gathering dust.

Shipping on ibood is always 12.50, no matter what the offer is.

Would the specs be enough for web browsing and Netflix? Not expecting a powerhouse for €62.49

Actually the biggest impediment here for me is not the amount of RAM in the tablet, but the crowd selling it.
Have a look at the comments from people who have bought stuff from them:

    Absolutely shocking looking record there.

Bought lots of stuff off them over the years and never any problems. One thing i would say is they can be very slow to ship, so you wouldnt be buying anything you need in a hurry, but everything I ever ordered did arrive and as described

    I'd echo this.
Also- any time there was an issue with a product (and I have bought from them extensively over the last 15 years)- they had no issue reshipping etc.

The main issues are the staggering delays in shipping items- one item took over 3 months to ship. I got increasingly apologetic e-mails from them- and an offer of a refund- they did however eventually ship.

I have a Linx 7 tablet running Win 8.1 and it runs surprisingly well with only 1GB of Ram.

Yes 1GB is alright. Had one of those myself running Windows 10, which uses less resources than Windows 7 or Windows 8

From Microsofts site: Minimum hardware specs for game streaming Windows 10

Here’s what you’ll need to stream a game from your Xbox One to your PC.

    •Processor: At least 1.5 GHz
    •RAM: At least 4 GB
•Video card: Needs to support hardware H.264 video decoding
•Network: A wired Ethernet connection works best for game streaming
•For a wireless connection: An 802.11 N or newer wireless adapter
•Other: An Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller

cheers had seen them before alright. also seen guys have success with less than that on tablets by ramping down the streaming quality. also, they are not hard, works fine with my laptop on a non 802.11n connection.

think this might be pushing it though so don't think i'll chance it

To be honest- the processing power- is probably the killer on this- you'd be decoding video constantly, the processor would prob. overheat and ramp down before too long (I'd imagine). You just might get by on the RAM and network.
