Trek Émonda ALR 4 versus Giant Defy 1 Disc 2016

    Hi All,

I'm thinking of upgrading from my current Trek 1.1. The two possible alternatives i'm looking at are the Trek Émonda ALR4 and the Giant Defy 1 (with disk brakes).

Both look to be light enough with decent components but does anyone here have experience of both and have a preference? Price is similar for the two so I'm agnostic for now until I hear any input from those with more experience.

I generally use the bike for commutes to work and for long spins about once a week.

If anyone has any comments or opinions on one of these versus the other, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks
