Hi, just wondering if someone could clarify how the maths is graded? I understand that continuous assessment is worth 40% and paper 1 and paper 2 are worth 30% each. I'm confused by what it says in the student handbook:
'A student will have passed if the mark in the continuous assessment component is at least 35% [14 out of 40] and the overall module mark is at least 40%.'
This may be a stupid question but I don't understand where they are getting the 14 out of 40?

If I fail my written exams and get less than 40% in continuous assessment, can I still pass the module with both of them together?

Its nearly impossible to fail CA in maths ie 14 out of 40 unless you did not do any of the assignemnts so i wouldnt worry at all!
