Got the recent "TLC 40" smart tv" after a Bargain Alert and am waiting on delivery. Not expecting much at £163/€205 but at that price...

Anyway, specs state 150x100 Vesa - which doesn't appear on many mounts - can someone tell me if this will be ok with your standard Vesa tilt mount for that size of tv or does it point to something that needs a different type of mount?

    thanks.

If the screw holes are indeed VESA compliant then you should be able to buy a mount to suit it but the VESA standard says that any screen above 31" should have as a minimum a configuration of 200 x 200 mm screw holes. The relevant standard is Variant 'F of the Flat Display Mounting Interface (FDMI) standard.....

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Display_Mounting_Interface#Details_of_variant_F

From looking at a few wall mounts offered on Amazon UK, I'd say you'll have your work cut out finding a mount that will do 150 x 100 mm. For what it's worth, I have a 42" Philips LCD TV and the mounting screws are 400 x 400 mm so even if you find a mount that can do 150 x 100 mm, it may not be designed to handle the weight of your TV, it's more likely that it's designed for a much smaller device.

    Thanks lads.
In relation to this bracket on Amazon, I emailed the manufacturer and someone came back to me saying:

"I'm pleased to confirm that our 200-T model will work with VESA size 100 x 150mm. It will basically work with all sizes/combinations between 75 - 200mm & should be perfect for your new TV. "

Does it look ok to you? (Jonnycivic will look at those other ones ta)

Pic of back attached - holes everywhere I haven't a clue what's VESA and what's just keeping the tv together!

The manual doesn't mention VESA size, only that one reference on the website.

Is it possible to judge what it is from looking at this? Thanks. Some references to M3x8...I'm guessing that this means the mount takes 8 M3 screws? Ok...so it's a type of screw and I'm none the wiser! I've read that you simply find the 4 VESA holes and measure them...but still not obvious to me which ones! Is it the 4 I have highlighted?

they look like reinforced holes so i'd think they are the vesa mounts, spacing looks right as well based on a 100*150,

Get a measuring tape, the VESA mounting holes will be an exact distance (in mm) apart, normally in a square pattern (e.g. 75 x 75, 100 x 100, 200 x 200 etc.) but in your case it's claiming to be 100 x 150. I don't think the middle two holes you've highlighted (below the white labels) are intended for a wall mount, they look different from the top two and for a screen that size, I'd expect the holes to be top and bottom, not top and centre. The two holes at the top are also very close together for such a large screen, this would cause unnecessary stress on the frame when adjusting the tilt.

good point, i looked at the bottom two in detail, they are reinforced, the upper two aren't

Turns out it is those 4 holes. While the bottom 2 look like they are reinforced the 4 of them are exactly 100x150.

Thanks all..I will get a simple tilt mount now.
