    Want to receive the free to air Russian Listed channels on Hotbird 13.0 e, would a 80cm dish give give optimal reception with thease channels verses a 60cm dish.

    Yes you would want at least an 80cm dish for good reception of Hotbird, however there are other channels available on other birds such as on Astra 4a and there used to be others on astra1 available at 19degrees.

    I used pick them all up on a triax 1.1 metre with a multi lnb bar holder and 3 lnbs pointed to each bird and use of a diseq switch and never had an issue, however you need to ensure a good line of sight...
