Laser Freckle Removal - Clinic or Dermo

    Hi guys,

I want to get my freckles removed via laser but I don't know where to get it done. There's two options - consult a dermatologist and receive the treatment from them or go to one of them "laser and skin" clinics and get it done there. As far as I am aware, the people running them laser clinics are nurses and not dermatologists. Correct me if I am wrong.

Would it be okay to get treatment under the supervision of a nurse or am I better off just paying more for a dermatologist?

    Thanks in advance.

I've never heard about this, is it safe?

It depends clinic by clinic as far as I know, regulation is too light in this area. I'd assume they're not qualified without evidence to the contrary.

You only have one face so I wouldnt take a chance with substandard treatment. If you really want to go down this path (which I don't know why you would! freckles are lovely and so youthful looking!) then dermatologist is the only viable option IMO.

Alternativly, would you try using SPF 50 everyday to see if they fade of their own accord? This all sounds a bit drastic to me.

I thought freckles were the new must have for 2016.
I have to say i love them especially on redheads.

I had rosy cheeks (Rosacea) and freckles and had laser done. My goal was my calming my cheeks, but I had some fading of my freckles. There are lots of 'clinics' offering treatments from €50 - I paid €180 per session but I had a consultant and a nurse specialising in plastic surgery, with minors in dermatology. I might not have the looks of a supermodel or even one of the popular bloggers, but equally kids don't run away from me in the street, and I'd like to keep it that way. Yes it was expensive but it was worth it. Some of these therapists have only done a couple of days training - mine had done years.
