Our seven month old has chicken pox but it's day 7 now and all spots are healing. We are flying off on Tuesday and want to get the fit to fly letter from our GP tomorrow. We only realized this weekend that this could be asked for.

How does this work though? Would the GP have a template they can just fill after checking the health of our son? Would this be free of charge under the GP card as well?

    Thanks for the reply.

Called the GP and they will provide a letter. It is indeed free of charge.

We might need one as we are flying internationally and tickets are too expensive to take a chance ;)

Will all the spots be crusted over / healed by then?

Yes, we wouldnt go otherwise as we dont want to infect others. Fortunately only mild case for us! Its one thing to reschedule a flight and another to be barred from boarding and that too in a situation where we would take chances with other people's health.
