anyone any idea of the cost of putting slatted tank into existing shed?. Shed is four column,20 foot wide .the height of shed is 20 feet so no problem with machine to dig out. What's the widest slat available?.

16'6" is the widest I'm sure. Cost of tank would be around 150-200 for every foot in length.

You can get 18'6 and 20"6 but he,l only fit a 14"6 slat in that shed

He could put the feed passage outside the shed and put a wider tank in the shed.

Don't forget to put the agitation point outside the shed for safety even though it might make it more difficult to fit into the plan.

Thanks lads 14-6 would be fine, can't change position of feed passage. Yes I know about agitation point being outside shed. 12,800 seems reasonable for tank.Anyone know cost of slats

you will be lucky to get a 10 foot tank in to that shed especially if there is a wall built around shed

With safety concerns at best you will get a 12.6 tank. Trust me I do this stuff. It will also cost a lot extra with difficult accessibility.

Thanks, I understand safety concerns with shed. Thought accessibility would be ok as shed is 20ft high.

Out of curiosity, if he was to put a tank under the passageway (I know he can't), would the general rule be €150/200 * Length in Ft *2

Got a price the last day to put a tank into an existing hayshed, eves of the shed are about 14ft high so digging will be slow, tank will be 50ft long and either a 10'6 or 12'6 slat. got price of 10k for digging, steel, concrete and labour, price does not include slats.

That would be the same as Sam Kade said.About e200 per ft. Not bad in my opinion
